13 nights – Bespoke Itinerary
Travel from Australia’s top end to the south coast.
Days 1 & 2 – Your adventure begins in Darwin.
Explore this historic centre of Darwin. Walk along the Esplanade, visit the world war 2 tunnels, sunbathe at the lagoon and perhaps take a sunset harbour cruise.
3 nights Darwin
Day 3 – Group day tour to Litchfield National park (alternatively pick up your car a day early and self-drive).
Escape from the bustle of city life and spend a full day exploring the waterfalls, rainforest and rock formations in beautiful Litchfield National Park. Litchfield encircles the Tabletop Range, known for spectacular waterfalls and swimming holes, plus sculptural cliffs, monsoon forest and historic sites.
Days 4 & 5 – Kakadu National Park
Pick up a car for your Kakadu National park experience. Your first stop will be at Bowali Visitor Centre. Please check in here before continuing into the park. Why not Cruise on the East Alligator River, before heading across into Arnhem land at Cahill’s crossing and stop at the Injalak Art Centre. In the late afternoon, why not take a guided walk at Ubirr for the famous sunset (tour not included).
Why not start the day with a scenic flight over this spectacular area. Flights depart daily from Jabiru Airport (weather permitting). There is plenty more to see. Maybe stop at Nourlangie rock art site, Murray Lookout, and for the more active why not take one of the hiking trails. Head to Cooinda to visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre and Yellow River Billabong.
1 night in Jabiru and 1 night in Cooinida.
Day 7 – Kakadu-Darwin
Return to Darwin via Gunlom Plunge Pool, Maguk waterfall and Pine Creek.
1 night in Darwin.
Day 8 – Darwin to Alice Springs
Drive to the airport and drop off your car in time for your flight to Alice Springs.
1 night in Alice.
Days 9 & 10 – 3 Day Red Centre Experience.
Depart at 0700. See towering Atila (Mt. Conner) as you make your way to Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon, view the amazing collection of Indigenous paintings at the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre. Tour the base of the massive red monolith, then continue to the Kuniya Walk, where you’ll be guided to the sacred Mutitjulu Waterhole. In the late afternoon, experience the remarkable colour changes on Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) as the sunsets.
Rise early to witness a stunning Uluṟu sunrise, then continue to Walpa Gorge, where you’ll follow the natural creek bed between two of the tallest formations of Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas), a mysterious series of 36 red-rock domes. This evening, dine under a million stars at the Sounds of Silence Dinner (dinner included). As the sun sets, listen to the sound of a didgeridoo and join your fellow travellers for an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a gourmet buffet of Australian delicacies accompanied by fine Australian wines, then sit back and relax as a star talker explains the constellations of the southern night sky (weather conditions permitting).
2 nights in Uluru.
Days 10 & 11 – Uluru – Adelaide
Your tour concludes after breakfast. You’ll be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight to Adelaide. On arrival in Adelaide transfer to your hotel.
Enjoy free time in Adelaide. Take a walk through this pretty town and admire the colonial-style architecture. Why not visit some of the beautiful opal store or the famous Haigh’s chocolate shop. Walk along the river banks or take a river cruise, visit some of the many churches Adelaide is famous for, take a tour of the Oval Cricket ground, or take a tram to the famous Glenelg beach.
4 nights in Adelaide.
Day 12 – Day Tour to Kangaroo Island.
Travel from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island, one of Australia’s most popular wildlife destinations, on this activity-filled day trip by ferry, flight or both—your choice. On the island, discover its natural attractions and local animals, from Vivonne Bay and Seal Bay Conservation Park to the Remarkable Rocks, Flinders Chase National Park, Admirals Arch and more. Spot wallabies, echidnas, fur seals, koalas and, of course, kangaroos. Lunch is included, and you may select from four transportation options from Adelaide when booking.
Day 13 – Day Tour to Hahndorf and Barossa Valley.
Enjoy the streets, the cafes and the shops at Hahndorf and admire Mount Lofty panoramic views. Visit Haigh’s Chocolate Factory to taste some locally made delicacies. Have a nice afternoon by wine tasting at three exceptionally good wineries in the Barossa Valley and enjoy their beautiful surroundings.
Your final night is in Adelaide. Self-drive and overnight stays in Barossa are available.
