Last Friday, 3rd December, 2021 Planit Travel commemorated 25 years from its inception with a get-together at the Hilton Hotel in St. Julian’s. 

The event has been a dream come true, as colleagues, partners and other distinguished guests came together to celebrate this achievement, in particular after the pandemic that created havoc in the travel industry. 

Planit Travel Services was setup in 1996, following the work of Mr. Charles Stivala, who spent most of his life assisting clients in both Malta and North Africa. Back then, it was simply a transportation company, but over the course of 4 decades, Planit grew into a fully-fledged travel management company, offering an array of services to clients worldwide and employing more than 30 people.

Planit is now managed by siblings Aaron and Elexia Stivala, who spent their childhood immersed in the family business. Keeping a professional ethos mixed with a passion for technology, they steered the company forward into new territories, all the time honouring their father’s legacy.

While celebrating this milestone, Managing Director Aaron Stivala said that “During the last 25 years, Planit went through a rollercoaster of good and bad times, however, this has helped us to become stronger. We know tough times don't last, but tough teams do.”

Co-Managing Director Elexia Stivala thanked all colleagues, partners and clients, emphasizing that Planit’s success would not have been possible without their valuable input. Last, but not least, Aaron and Elexia Stivala thanked their late father, “who is watching over us today, smiling proudly at all of us.”
